Alcohol while on omad


I was wondering, what's the general consensus drinking alcohol while on the omad diet? Is it allowed? Are there any drinks I should steer clear from? What about light beer? Wine maybe?

I don't drink a lot, but have a few family and friend meetups happening soon and I like to drink socially, but don't want to hurt my current diet. Any suggestions are welcomed.

Since on the OMAD plan, we fast the rest of the time, a person would not be drinking during that part of the day, and only doing it around your OMAD meal time.
That being said, OMAD is a way of eating that is a lifestyle, as opposed to a temporary diet you are following strictly or a set period of time.
Things are going to come up that conflict with just having one meal sometimes, and when that happens, we just do the best we can. If I know that I will be having more than one meal, then I try to at least do intermittent fasting that day.
So, if you were going to be having an evening where you would be drinking, then your fast would start later, and go until later the next day, or just be a shorter fast that day.
 
Alcohol is generally bad for the body. Maybe we can drink alcohol occasionally by drinking often could lead to serious medical issues such as high blood and liver issues.
To be safe, I don't drink alcohol at all eversince my teenage years.
I will continue my alcohol-free lifestyle even when I'm in OMAD diet.
 
It would be better to drink alcohol only occasionally when there's a celebration, to reward yourself and for a break from stress or problems. Before, I was not really a fan of alcoholic beverages but when I tried it, that's when I realized why people are into it though its not that delicious. It gives different kind of chill and calmness free from stress.

Just drink responsibly. Drink what your body can only take.

My thing is, we make a whole day out of it sometimes, but I'll try to set it aside during my meal time. If anything, I'm sure a cheat day is allowed. :) I would start back up the next day for sure. I don't currently have many cheat days, so when I do, maybe I'll just use it for when friends/family come over to eat or drink.

Oh yeah it's bad, but I mostly drink on special occasions, I rarely drink otherwise though. I used to drink a lot back in college, but I've grown tired of it mostly.

For sure, like I said above, I may drink on cheat days or special events, but thankfully I don't drink otherwise.

I drink a glass or two before I sleep and it gives me a sound sleep.
I've heard wine is good to drink before bed, but not much of a wine guy myself.
 
One thing that I have seen from what people have written here on the forum and in our Facebook Group, is that each person does their OMAD just a little different, and we each have to try experimenting and see what works for us.
I have seen some people post that they have beer or wine along with their OMAD meal and do fine, and other people say that they can’t drink anything except plain water; so each of us is different.
Some of the things to factor in might be age, physical condition, activity level, and what foods we are having for our OMAD meal.
My suggestion would be to see what works for you to have and still be ale to achieve your OMAD health goals.
