Sometimes changing your OMAD feeding window can make a difference.
I’ve been going along well with IF. A mix of OMAD and 2,3, and 5 day water fasts.
All of a sudden I can’t seem to make it through my 23 hours and longer fasts are out for now. Not sure what my issue is because I am eating enough.
Two days in a row I had to break my 23 hr fast 4 hours early. I didn’t feel bad because I know each day our needs are different. However I noticed the change in time really helped.
Normally I break around 4-5pm. Now I have decided to breakfast at 12pm. I don’t like having to prep my lunch I was enjoying the no lunch freedom. But the change in schedule has helped in the following way:
- I do not over eat. Since there is some distance between me and the fridge I’m not going back to nibble because it was tasty.
I eat what I packed and if I’m hungry still I always have my “just in case of emergency” protein shake.
-it seems my digestion/elimination is better because I am more active.
-I am an ex smoker. Eating earlier allows me to chew the hell out my gum after my meal and during the more stressful part if my day.
- I sleep better. Even though I am usually 3-4 hours between my meal and going to bed. Now I am 8 hours between my meal and bed. It seems my nocturnal functions are more effective.
-Additionally since I’m not eating in the evening it seems I get in bed a little earlier.
-lastly because I no longer get the evening sleepy’s I feel more productive.
I just thought I’d share how changing my schedule helped me.
