The Effects Of Vitamin D and Calcium?

I've been supplementing 40mcg of vitamin D3 (200%DV) and 1,200mg of calcium (92%DV) I think. I've been taking it for almost a week now and was wondering when I will reap the benefits and what those benefits are? I think I've been feeling a bit stronger but I could be wrong.
You may feel better if these vitamins that you lack in your diet. What do you eat?
