Some people choose 2-3 hour window. I try to eat in one hour, if I can, because I eat at night and do not want to get too close to the bed time. There have been a couple meals including my dinner last night where I went over my one hour mark by 15 minutes. I will say that my cravings for chocolate kicked in so I ate dessert before my meal.
Has anyone ever eaten for a little longer than the hour allowed on OMAD?
Thanks power for responding. How’s this lifestyle going for you? Some people choose 2-3 hour window. I try to eat in one hour, if I can, because I eat at night and do not want to get too close to the bed time.
I just started. I did two meals a day for a week and it was good, but now on the third day of OMAD I got a bad migraine, so I switched back to two for a while. Thanks power for responding. How’s this lifestyle going for you?
I have occasionally gone over the 1 hour eating window but I do it on my cheat day and I have one of those at least once a week or twice a month..There have been a couple meals including my dinner last night where I went over my one hour mark by 15 minutes. Hi Rudy thanks and I figured if there are days where I go past an hour I need to make note of the reason, foods I consume , and my weight the following dayI have occasionally gone over the 1 hour eating window but I do it on my cheat day and I have one of those at least once a week or twice a month..
Hi there. Thanks for your reply. I like that idea. Today I feel like calling it a cheat day because I’m craving fruit. I bought so many fresh fruit for my family I was thinking of making a fruit salad for dessert but I’m craving fruit now and still have about 3-4 hours for dinner. Luckily I realize I’m craving and not hungry so I’m off to brew coffeeI stick the system but I have a cheat-day on a week. In that free-day I eat what and when I want.
Its just now that I have learned about the 4 hour window. OMAD is indeed fasting. But its good to know that there is a 2-4 hours window that one can eat.If you are having a problem with your 1-hour window then I guess you can stretch it to 2 hours and even up to 4 hours. When I first joined this site, I was really sort of shocked that people can do OMAD because that is fasting. But when I saw the 4-hour window, that gave me confidence that this diet is doable even if you are not that good in dieting like me. The 4-hour window can afford you to have a sort of breakfast and an early lunch so not much has changed if you don’t really eat dinner like what I am practicing now.
