Fitbit & other heart rate monitors

I have this cheap heart rate monitor watch. Got it from a thrift shop some years ago. It does what it needs to do, so I'm happy. I might get a Fitbit or other branded one at some point though.

MIRROR - A mirror with a screen for fitness

Saw the ads for it. I gotta say, it is kind of cool. It's probably way too expensive for my tastes though, so it's something I doubt I would ever buy. As well, I wish it looked more like a tv, but I guess that'd defeat the purpose of it being a mirror.

Would it be bad to have my one meal at breakfast?

I wouldn't say it's bad if you can handle not eating the rest of the day. The cravings might bug you. So just keep that in mind, but it can be done for sure.

Would you ever do the biggest loser to lose weight?

I don't think I ever would. The idea of being on a TV show is something I couldn't do. As well, I hear the contestants go through hell on that show, so it's not worth it.

    Starting OMAD

Hey djs, welcome to the forum. Feel free to ask me any questions. Omad is perfect for helping you lose that excess weight. I'm glad I got into omad as it has become a life saver for me. It can be a lifestyle too.

    OMAD every third day?

I wouldn't start with that right away. Start doing the one meal every day and then when you're ready, try to make it every two days and then move on to every 3 days. It will take time, but you'll get there.

    Start with walking

If you're someone who hates to workout or hasn't worked out much, I highly recommend starting simple by walking. Maybe walk around the block, or a certain amount of miles. Once you're ready, you can move on to better workouts.

    Working out for long hours

I was wondering about working out more often. I know some people who workout for an hour, a half hour, or a couple hours, but what about those who workout more than that? Does anyone here workout for long hours? And if so, do you go over 2 hours? What about 4 hours? I've heard of people working...

Best foods for OMAD while having gout

Make sure he cuts out most foods with high in purine, which is converted to uric acid. Stay away from food like organ meats, red meats, seafood, alcohol and beer. Those will often increase the chance of you getting gout. Fruits, veggies, nuts, eggs and more are good foods to eat to stop gout in...

What happens to your body when you drink soda

It's mainly the junk that's added in to soda that is bad for you. I haven't touched the stuff in a while. My friends teeth were in such a rough shape because of pop. It's partly what caused diabetes in a friend of mine. So yeah, I say steer away from it.

How do you pass the time until your meal?

Work mostly, but I also like to read when I'm not doing anything else. I've been reading a lot more lately too, and it helps with the wait.

Music you like to listen to when working out?

I like synth wave too. I prefer anything that sounds 80s and sounds cool lol. I like listening to some metal music when working out. It can sometimes help me get more into the workout.

    Ugh, my progress so far

Congrats on the weight loss so far. Every little bit counts. Just think, if you could lose 2 pounds a week, you'd be doing a great job. :)

Do you prefer working out alone?

Like most in here, I will workout at a gym if I'm with friends, but preferably I like to workout alone. I have gone to the gym alone before, it's not really a problem for me, I just prefer to be alone in general sometimes.

Drink a lot of water or just when you are thirsty?

I like to drink water a lot. I wouldn't say I get the required intake, but i believe I drink enough to survive. I don't drink a certain amount or anything like that. I suppose just to quench my thirst.

The most you've weighed before doing omad

What was the highest weight you have ever been before trying omad? For me, at one point I was 285lbs. I'm kind of short so that's not good. Thankfully I have lost a lot of it already and am continuing my journey. What's the highest weight you've ever been?

How do you get rid of love handles?

If you're doing omad you're already doing the right thing. I would start doing crunches and other workouts that help tone the stomach and side areas. That should help bring those love handles down a notch. :)

    Boot camp style workouts

Oh I know what you're talking about. It's kind of like boot camp, but you're racing others. I've never done it myself, but it does sound kind of fun. I kind of prefer marathons though.
