Think first your fitness goals. To achieve your vision and become fit and healthy, you need to eat well for proper nutrition, and do both cardiovascular and strength training.

Drink filtered water Water helps remove metabolic wastes (toxins) and will provide you with more energy for your activities. Avoid sugar. Have protein at every meal or food-combine. See first a health care provider before beginning any form of cardiovascular exercise.
 
Yes, and it really makes me cry whenever I'm on a diet and see people eating pork, beef or chicken. T-T, they're such silent killers I can't easily ignore and abandon. Again, you're welcome and yes fight all the temptations! Cheers!

Hahaha, its such an irony to us. Foods are everywhere and we can't deny the fact that we want to eat all of those when it looks yummy of course. But when you are disciplined enough, I guess it won't be hard for you. Cheers!

I think so, I'll try to conduct some research about it. Since I want to reduce my weight. It seems that I should eat less fatty foods and go for fruits and vegetables. I admit that I really love fatty foods but I should accept the fact that I need to lose weight for me to maintain healthy.

Exactly. A proper discipline and a right mind will always help us to defeat such temptations. However, we are also imperfect so there will be also times when we cheat. Ohh, how I hate cheat days (although I love them also but I have to hide it XD).

Yes @fitjay19, we must acquire those attitudes in order to achieve on what you are aiming. You should combine it all and look for the result. I'm sure that it is the most effective way of doing things like work-outs and training.

Exactly. The results will always be the best stimulant for anyone who's working out or following a strict diet. However, a lot of people are so impatient and they do think that results come out in just a week of exercise but it's not. It's impossible and so I hope that people will be more patient (including me).

Agreed, we should have more patience for us to be successful. You're right, that's the main reason why some of people taking exercise and diet are impatient so that they can't get the result they want. When you are on a diet, you must discipline yourself for success. I hope too! Good luck.
 
Proper diet is basically a balanced diet: vegetables, meat, fruits, and the like. it's also moderation in taking these foods as too much of everything is really poison, as they say. It all depends on one's individual strategy when it comes to both the balanced and moderated things like, we can do it on a daily/meal basis where we can eat all fruits in one setting and protein in another at the right amounts. Some do it on a weekly basis like when I was a child, it was all fish diet for a week and the next week will be all chicken, etc. The problem begins when we are not aware that we have been taking too much of one thing, at one time.

I'd better go to the mindset that a diet is more often like a balance diet. You need to eat those but you're required to limit the intake of those foods. As what other say, it is more better to eat balance than to have a lack of presence of some particular food. Different foods means different substance. So I keep that in mind!

True. I've been a victim of this mentality a lot of times as well as my friends. Being impatient because exercising is very exhausting, sometimes it makes you want to quit. However, with the right discipline and attitude I started to be more patient now but not that much. I still get tempted sometimes. Thanks pal :)
 
I disagree with the advise to just eat healthy. I have been overweight for most of my life and this just doesn't work, Eating healthy means eating low fat and reducing your calories. This just does not work I hate to be the bearer of bad news. The best way I have found is cutting out one food group. Some people cut out carbohydrates or proteins. This seems to work best. Inevitably this cuts down the number of calories you can consume. For me cutting out carbs works best because you need very little protein to stay full.

Yeah, it's the most common reason when you are exercising and in a diet. Exercising is very exhausting and tardy to do especially when you're alone. You must improve your self characteristics first like discipline before starting a healthy lifestyle; if you want to be successful.

That's true. Aside from lack of patience, the feeling of being lonely is also a big problem for people who does work out alone. That is why others prefer to go to the gym because at least in that place they'll see others who are also striving like them.

That's exactly what others saying. They are really annoying for me. It is a simple logic actually, why will you exercise or diet if you can't handle it in time, if you are impatient, don't ever try to have a diet and exercise routines because it will not help you as well. They're just wasting time.

Well, what you're saying is quite right and I have been annoyed with myself as well for a lot of times because of also being impatient. However, we also can't blame people especially if they're already stressed with their bodies and they just want to instantly shred those unwanted body fats they have.
 
Proper diet involves cutting on the carbs ,fat ,processed foods ,junk food that contains sugar and put a little more of those greens that you hate so much ,children are allowed to whine and cry because their mama takes away chocolate and gives them a fruit but your an adult you know what's good for you and what will destroy your health .Eat things like broccoli ,peas ,cabbage and eat a boiled egg regularly you might not know but eggs can help you loose weight like crazy .

I can relate to you, I definitely agree. It's hard to stop eating fatty foods because they are the yummy ones but the "silent killer". Lol. Thanks for you're advice! Fight the temptation! Cheers!
Yes! They are truly the silent killers. Before, I love fatty foods. I prefer them than the lean ones and eat them with rice. But then I had an inflammation on my face and I noticed it when I eat fatty foods only. It seems they are the triggering factor. I went to the doctor but all he gave was an anti-allergy medication.

We we're exactly the same. I do love fatty food since then and that's make my decision in diet harder just because I can't really manage my diet. Now, I'm starting to get rid of it since I'm on a diet and I don't want to be addicted with it again!
 
That really depends on what you are trying to achieve. Are you targeting to lose weight or to add weight? If your adding weight you need to eat protein rich food like eggs, dairy products and meat. While if you're trying to lose weight you can eat tuna, salmon, and a lot of green leafy vegetables and fruits.
