My OMAD Dairy Entries...Comments are Welcomed!

All it takes to meet your goal is to not quit.

I would restate though, if for no other reason to get your subconscious to continue to consider it, OMAD is a heck of a lot easier if you are also eating Keto. Not only that, but going Keto makes it all the more easy to drop weight. I dropped twelve pounds in the very first single week on Keto, from losing the water retention that is typical of a high carb diet. After that, dropping more is as simple as making your one meal a day, less in calories than your maintenance. Because your body is at that point metabolically primed to use fat for energy, it will automatically use your own fat reserves to make up the difference. The coolest thing though, is you'll hardly feel hunger at all throughout.

The downside is that your food choices are limited and eating out is even more limited. This can be mitigated to a very large degree apparently if you are a great cook. Very many things can be cooked that we typically think of as high carb, they just get cooked with creative Keto ingredients. It is apparently even possible to make sweet cinnamon rolls that are Keto!

I wish I could cook. I love cinnamon rolls.
@Panpiper AMEN! You said it! AMEN!

Just “keep on keeping on” as the saying goes, @Sunny Shelley . Not every day will be perfect, as we struggle to reach our goal weight, at least mine sure aren’t.
I have been listening to subliminal weight loss programs each day (usually at night) with my iPad and headphones, and I do think that helps me to stay more motivated, and to keep trying.
Some days, I am barely hungry, and some days, I think I could eat a horse (just joking, of course...... I love horses ! ) ; so what I eat each day seems to depend on a lot of different things, as well as what happens in my life schedule. I just try to keep the plan in mind and do my best, and try not to punish myself when I blow it. I know that was a trigger that stopped me from following other diet programs before, saying well, I messed up, might as well quit.
Now, I am saying, it might make it take longer, when I mess up, but there are NO better options than OMAD, and just keep on.

Don't Quit
By Edgar A. Guest (1881-1959)

When Things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and debts are high,
And you want to Smile but have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won if he'd stuck it out,
Don't give up though the pace seems slow,
You might succeed with another blow.

Often the struggler has given up,
When he might captured the victor's cup.
And he learned too late, when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown,

Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar,
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit.

Nuff love;)

I think that I have mentioned this elsewhere on this forum, but one of the things that helps me to stay on track is motivational tapes/apps. When I go to bed at night, I find a meditation app/video, and play it on my iPad with my headphones on. If you use a smartphone or tablet, you can find these (sometimes for free) on the App Store, and youtube also has a great assortment of subliminal and weight-loss hypnosis videos, some to listen to and some with visual parts.
I don’t know how much the subliminal programming actually works, but it can’t hurt, and it does focus my mind on my weight-loss and healthy eating goals every night. It seems like I fell more committed to OMAD when I do listen to the tapes, so I believe it is at least worth trying.
I have lost 2 more lbs this week, so progress is slowly still happening.

Canada is a new country for you , @Sunny Shelley ? Where did you move there from ? I had just assumed that you had always lived in Canada from the way you talk about things there.
Are you an exchange student, maybe ?
