How much money does one save up on OMAD?

Hi all!
As some of you already know, I used to do OMAD the best I could few years ago. My primary meal was a salad, combined of numerous necessary ingredients. What was amazing is the fact that it was possible to make it from the vegetables that were growing in my own garden near the house. Our garden is 500 square meters.
Basically when I was doing OMAD I managed to save up 90% of the average food budget per month. My expenses were so minor at that time, which was great.

How was your experience?

I have probably saved thousands since I have been doing omad. I used to eat out all the time as well. That was a big expense in itself. Saving money is definitely one of the hidden benefits of omad that many never think of.

I agree with this, too. Not only do I need to buy less food, because of only eating one meal each day; but I am also only buying healthy foods, There is not any money being spent on snack foods, or any kind of food that does not contribute nutrients for my body.
We do not have a large garden like you do , @Alania, so I have to buy just about everything that I eat; but most of what I eat is either greens or vegetables, and those are not that expensive to buy.

You're from USA, right? Here actually some fruits and vegetables are equal to some breads and even meats, partially. Because it's a northern country with not many sun around... Many of those are imported from far south, like Turkey.
Basically our garden provides us food for like 3-4 months at most, if we're lucky. That's why I have to buy most of the time as well. My friend who lives in IL has actually like 8 months of sun, because it's a southern country.
