High Fiber Flaxseed Crackers

One of the things that I miss most on a ketogenic diet is having chips and dip. I know that we can have most dips along with a cucumber or zucchini chip, but it just doesn’t have that same crunchy flavor as a real chip or cracker.
This recipe is very easy to make.
It only needs a few ingredients:
1 cup ground flax, 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/2 cup water. Even though the whole recipe has about 18 grams of carbs (from the flax), most of that is fiber; so there is actually only about 3 grams of carbs.
Mix everything together and spread on parchment paper on a cookie sheet, and bake for about 15 minutes in a 400 degree oven.

I followed the recipe, and after it was rolled out , I scored it into squares, so once it was baked, it was easy to break it into little square crackers.
This is also really good paired with a low carb zucchini hummus, and since it is all plant-based, it also works for anyone who is doing a vegetarian or plant-based OMAD diet.

I've seen flax seed crackers in the grocery store. I didn't realize they were so easy to make. I love a tasty cracker with a dip or cream cheese.

I have seen crackers with flax seeds at the grocery store, too, @cmoneyspinner ; but all of the ones that I have looked at would not be suitable for anyone who is on a ketogenic diet, because they all have too many carbs unless you only eat 1-2 tiny crackers, and even then it really limits your carbs for that day.
If you are not looking for ketogenic crackers, then the ones in the store would be fine.
