Hello Omaders! (is that a word?)

Hi everyone!
I'm new to this community, not-so-new to OMAD.
A little about me, I'm 44, married with 2 little boys (ages 6 and 4).
I've been doing "OMAD" for about 2-3 months now, but I think I've been doing it wrong (LOL). I think I was still consuming way too many calories and feeling over-stuffed. I do have an over-eating issue , I love food lol. However, I re-committed on Monday Jan 14 to eating just 1 meal and not like 2 meals+ nuts galore (lol) in my feasting time and I am feeling lighter already. Also, I have not been drinking enough water, so I've upped that to drinking half my weight.
On Weekends, I generally do 16:8 IF. OMAD is too hard for me, and for doing this long-term I think it's good to have the weekends off.
I'm so glad I found this active & supportive community.

Hi, @Bluerose , and welcome to the OMAD forum. As Jimmy mentioned, there is a wealth of great information on the main website, and there is also a Facebook Group that goes with this forum and webpage. If you scroll down on the main page, you will see the icons for facebook, twitter, etc, and the link will take you right to the Facebook group.

It seems like each person has to find the right amount and type of food for them to eat and still lose weight. I have seen pictures that people post on the Facebook group, and if I ate half of what they are having for an OMAD meal, I would be blimping right up on that much food; yet these people are eating it and still losing weight.
I think that I have one of those “thrifty metabolisms”, that just does not need much food to keep my body running, even when I am exercising.
