4:3 vs. OMAD

Newbie here! I started the 4:3 diet on 6/18/18. To date I've lost 15 lbs in 8 weeks. I am on a mission to get back to a healthy BMI. I have about 20 more lbs to go. I'm very happy with my results but my husband and I were talking about my weight loss and I decided to try the OMAD. I had no idea it was an actual thing. I'm hoping this WOE will help me to lose weight faster. I was taking the weekends off on my 5:3 diet but I'm finding that one meal a day isn't that hard even on the weekends. I'm already feeling better about myself and people are noticing the changes I'm making!

I think you mean 5:2? Where you fast for 2 days out of 5 days a week and on the days that your fasting you only eat 500 on each day. I do OMAD which I find quite effective. I have also started incorporating fasting for a day on 500 calories only once a week. I think with 5:2 you loose more weight, but it is not easy to sustain , I also think that because you are fasting twice a week, its easy to over eat the 5 days that you are not fasting. Omad , instills discipline, in my opinion.

I'm sorry - I just realized I wrote 5:3. I've been on the 4:3 diet. Fasting 3 days and eating low calorie meals on the other 4 days. I started with the 5:2 and upped it after a few weeks of getting used to fasting. I found it pretty easy actually. I've only been on OMAD since Monday and it's ok. I don't find it any more difficult than my 4:3 diet. I'm just wondering if the weight loss will be the same as the 4:3.

I have told about the 5:2 diet by my instructor but I don't feel really good about it,it I opted for OMAD I hope you try OMAD a bit and see that it much easier for OMAD than other diets. Be consistent with it to see the change.

I have no idea about this diet honestly. What I have familiar with is the keto diet and intermittent fasting. I will definitely search for this diet and if this is effective I would love to try this one.

I hadn’t heard of the 4:3 diet before but for me I think OMAD would work better! For me I just like routine and consistency so doing the same thing each day is more convenient!

Same as mine. But we should also try something different and see if its effective. We can also experimenting new techniques. I believe that consistency of exercise is really effective one but trying new one is quite exciting. Many new exercises are very easy to execute and effective in weight loss.
