Need all the helpful ideas I can get...

hi my name is Annie
I just started OMAD and appreciate any ideas for keeping me on track. I'm tryin to eat between 2 and 6. So far I'm just choosing what sounds good. Yesterday it was spaghetti w meat sauce, bread, butter , pineapple and milk. I woke up hungry but trying to keep busy. Any ideas you guys are doing, eating, that I may not have thought of?

I still eat whatever sounds good as well. I find it hard to deprive myself from what I really want when eating one meal a day. I eat a lot of pizza and pasta as well. I think its important to not deprive yourself because when your one meal comes around, you need to enjoy it!

Welcome Annie, my eating window is usually 4-8. I do this because that is what works for my family. My husband really supports me with one meal a day, so that helps a lot. Drinking a lot of coffee saves me for the most part.

Oh thank you Jackie. I agree, it is what helps me to think about the good thing I really want to eat that gets me through the hungry periods. This really seems to work for me. Please keep in touch.

I found if I eat too late I get bad heartburn and I usually can't wait that long anyway. I just fix my husbands dinner later. We are retired so flexible. I really like not worrying about trying to "diet". How long have you been doing OMAD? Do you drink your coffee Black? Keep in touch, Annie

Thanks Jennifer

I've been doing omad since late september and have lost over 20 pounds! This is a really great choice and I consider it a lifestyle as well. My kids keep me really busy, so it really helps too! I do drink my coffee black, but I've been drinking a lot of tea lately as well. I had some problems adjusting in the beginning like cramps, but they went away after a few weeks. I'm not so sure they were totally related to omad or not.

Welcome Annie! I can't wait for the retired life! :) My best advice I can offer you is to stick with it because this is the best way to lose weight. I tried weight watchers for many years, but just got burnt out.

That's amazing Jennifer. 20 pounds. Wow I would feel so skinny if I lose that. Yes it seems the right life style for me as well. I love not having to think about food and food choices all day.

It seems to be a good fit for me. I've done everything in my umteen years but this seems to fit me best. Doesn't feel like a diet. How long have you been doing it? How much have you lost? The hardest part living on the Island is company going for picnics at beach at lunch time and not wanting that to be my one meal so I will have to watch everyone eat while I wait for my later meal. I guess everyone else deals with this one way or another?

I've been doing omad since late september and have lost over 20 pounds! I struggle sometimes when we go out to eat with friends. That's probably the hardest part for me. They are always eating something that looks really good to me outside of my eating window :)

Well you look really wonderful. You must be almost to goal. Omg we went to Cheesecake Factory tonight, I hadn't ate all day and I had one dish and a half cheesecake slice w my husband. When I got home I looked up the meal and cheesecake. The meal was 1380 cal ( I ate the whole thing)
The cheesecake was 1500 cal. ( I ate half) Oh my
Guess that was not a projected one meal. Live and learn.
......onward and hopefully downward...

Happy that you are here Annie! My best advice is to keep your house clear of any temptations. I found that if it's not there, it's not tempting to eat.
