Weekends?

Hello all, and thank you for adding me. I am on day 3 of OMAD and I find it better than I thought. I have no problem eating OMAD on workdays, when I'm busy. I may have more trouble on weekends at home. I think I want to go back to my 16:8 fasts on the weekends. Tell me, do any of you do this and still lose?

For me, OMAD is a form of intermittent fasting, and a way of life for me now, but like anything else in life, so days go differently than other days do.
We go to the fitness center , and try to do that every day also; but some days something comes up that makes this impossible, and then we just do whatever we can for exercise that day.
Even if I don’t do it every single day, each day that I am able to exercise and fast at lest a good part of the day , is bettter than if I was not doing that; so each reason has to design their way of eating for what fits their lifestyle .
There are a lot of different ways of intermittent fasting, and OMAD is just one of them, and many people mix things up in how they fast, and some skip eating for days altogether, or have days when they don’t fast at all.
It is our choice and just experiment and see what works for you and then do that.

I'm used in eating 2x a day due to my busy schedule but when I eat, I can finish 2 to 3 plates of rice with meat and fish. I hope to try OMAD diet soon because I'm gaining more weight than usually. I'm more active during weekend so I think I'll have problem with getting more hungry than usual too.

If you look on the main page of this website, Jimmy has answers to most of the questions that we all have about doing OMAD, as well as a great book that you can get to help you understand OMAD and intermittent fasting even better.
One of the things that he writes about is called the one plate rule.
Basically, he says we use one plate and one cup or glass, and that is what we eat and drink. Some people seem to be able to eat more than that and still lose weight, so I think that it depends on each person, how much food you can eat and still lose weight. Eating one meal each day and fasting the rest of the day would still cause a person to eat less food overall, even if they ate more at their one meal.

I only tried exact OMAD for a day and my parents scolded me lol, saying it's not safe and so on. Right now, I still do OMAD but have 1 or two bites for dinner to let my parents know that I'm still eating right. I just tell them that I'm on a diet.

And yes, weekends are the struggles. It's when my parents have the time to cook and do delicious recipes. During weekends, we are complete at the table and for me it's more fun eating with the whole family that's why the temptation is so high.

My parents were the same way when I started doing certain diets. With omad they don't seem to mind though. I suppose they've grown a bit themselves and realized that these type of diets are perfectly safe. You just need to ease them into it, and explain it works for you and it's safe to do.

Yeah and over time they won't notice it because we are all busy. Also I'm doing it for myself so its still my decision to make.
