New to OMAD

Hi! Everyone!

Glad to find this forum.

I started 16/8 intermittent fasting regime in Dec 2017. It helps me lose 67 Ibs. Currently, I have a very lean body and almost can see all my lung bones on my chest. Recently I noticed metabolism is getting slow and slow and I don't feel hungry. (Currently having 2 meals a day or sometimes 3 meals within 8 hours). My BMI still at the healthy range (between 19-20). I did try OMAD b4 straight 4 days in the row. I stop it as I was struggling with morning hunger. Now that I feel more ready, but I have the following questions.

1. Do I need to do OMAD daily?
2. I have ready lost a lot of weight, will OMAD furthermore make me lose more weight or underweight?
3. What is the best time to have meals in OMAD?
4. Is coconut water allow during OMAD fasting?

Please advise. Thank you very much.

Welcome @Little Purple Duck! 1. I believe omad is more effective if you do it daily. That is the way I have always done it to lose all my weight. I also believe that is what most people do. As far as omad making you lose more weight, I believe that is something you will have to see how your body responds. Jimmy has an article on here on how to do omad everyday. It might be helpful to you. As far as best time for omad, I always eat between 4 and 8pm. That is the window that just works for my schedule. Your schedule may be different though. I believe coconut water will break your fast.

Again, welcome to the forums!

welcome @Little Purple Duck! I think Jackie covered a lot of those questions pretty well. You should look to do omad everyday to really get the best results and benefits. I eat my meal in the late afternoon because of my work schedule as well. Sometimes I work overtime though and it ends up being in the later evening, but I try to stay consistent as best as I can. It has worked as I continue to lose weight.

As far as hunger, there are many things you can try to cope with it. Staying busy is probably the biggest one.
I try to go for a lot of walks as well to get out and enjoy the day. Anything to get your mind off being hungry is going to help. Maybe a hobby?

Welcome to forum, I am new as well. To answer your question about coconut water I would say not as it has 45 calories and 6 grams of sugar per cup. As for not losing more weight and maintaining your losses ( congrats on losing 67 pounds it is a great accomplishment ) I would think the easiest way is to tracking your calories. Figure out what your calorie intake should be according to your weight, there is a tool to do that on this site. then make sure your eating that number during your hour window.
