Water on the Omad Diet - Importance, Benefits & FAQ

I always take a lot of water on a regular basis. From the article I can read that my believe about water assisting to surpress hunger is supported. I can attest to this as in my dieting I drink a lot of water after waking up and during the day.

Well stated, the only fluid I take with my OMAD diet is water. I have come to realize that water helps to suppress hunger, anytime I feel the hunger pangs I just take water and it will reduce the effect of hunger and even give me a renewed strength.Water helps to boost energy too.So taking water intermittently throughout the day, will be very helpful when on OMAD diet.

I agree that water is important, and especially on a one meal a day diet because it is easier to become dehydrated if you are only eating one time per day, and not drinking enough. When you are eating several meals each day, and at least some of the food intake is fruits, or vegetables that have natural juices, then you are getting at least some liquids with each meal, but if you are only having one meal, then you need water during the rest of the day to keep hydrated.
I usually have coffee in the morning, and sometimes either tea or broth in the evening, but I try to have a glass of water that I drink during the day at intervals as well.

I agree as well on the importance of water. There are times when I feel like I have to break my fast during the middle of the day but on taking a glass of water or two I feel fine again as the hunger pangs tend to disappear. There are other drinks that you can opt for as well such as bone broth which has become quite a favorite of mine in recent days.

The first thing that I do everyday is to drink water before eating anything. A study proved how healthy it is to drink plenty of water in a day. I drink water whenever I feel hungry, making me feel that I am not hungry anymore. Drinking water truly helps our body to get rid of some unnecessary fats. That's why I incorporate water in my diet.

I love any kind of broth provided it isn't fatty too.I just decided to go with just water now.I used to have smoothies, little bit of green tea and fruit drinks and then coffee but I just narrow it now it water now.I'm getting the great benefits because I'm always looking so refreshed and relaxed after taking some sips.

Oooh Okay I get it now. It is as per your desires and you have the option of choosing smoothies and broths but you prefer to have water instead. I respect your choice my friend and i also recognize the importance of minimal fats especially in any broth. I also do not take a lot of the broth but only at certain periods of the day.

Yes with OMAD we have options to choose from since there's no restrictions or deprivation on the diet.Just go with what works for you provided it is toward the goal of weight loss.I try not to sabotage my OMAD journey so whatever will add to it,I'm all for that. Water is life and what the body really needs than other fluids.

This is very nice and advisable. Whatever you are doing that is. I mean we all have an option just like we are here on board participating on this platform and we have an option of selecting the aspects we consider healthy to comment on and add onto. This can be said of diets as well as one can be given a lot of recommendations but the final decision rests on the person eating.

Well, drinking an adequate amount of water every day is certainly beneficial but it is something which is very necessary to remain healthy. If you don't drink the necessary amount of water every day then you will have to face health issues in the long run. if you don't drink water at regular intervals then you will get dehydrated and dehydration can further give rise to various health complications and diseases. The body is not able to regulate temperature properly if you don't consume enough water which can cause hyperthermia ( body temperature goes very high above the normal range). Therefore consuming water on a regular basis is very crucial for our health.

This article was quite informative, I took notice of some parts, although what I read was quite expected, as it was identical to my already existing knowledge. The best part about maintaining water during your OMAD is to begin with, the fact that it helps you not only remain hydrated, but also reduce stomach growling. The pain of hunger can really distract you. From my own experience, water was the only way to "win time", but usually it worked for around 10 minutes or so.

Consuming water is really beneficial for our body. I usually drink water most of the time instead of sodas, tea or coffee. I actually have a big glass with measurement on the side and it helps me to track how much water I drink each day to keep my body well hydrated.

I wasn't aware that water has these many benefits for weight loss. All I know was it can suppress your appetite and nothing else. I was surprised about the cold water because here in my area we are lead to believe that cold water can cause belly fat. Haha. Well, I seem to believe this too because I avoid drinking cold water because of this. Thanks for this article for proving this belief wrong.

Actually, I have read that drinking cold water burns up more calories because your body first has to heat the water and then uses it for hydration. I don’t know if this is actually so or not, but we do have to burn fuel to keep our body at a safe internal temperature; so it does sound plausible to me.
As a side note, I also read that when our body gets cold, then we make more mitochondria, and burn more body fuel; because being cold puts stress on the body.

In my opinion, water is the best liquid to take while on OMAD because it requires nothing to digest. It just moves into the digestive system as you take it immediately without wasting time and you don't have to worry about getting sugar or any sweetener in your system during your fasting window when you take only water.

Well the thing with water for me was the fact that it prevents stomach crumbling, especially at first 2-3 weeks when I had strong headaches due to hunger.
