Skipping meals will give the internal organs some rest to heal and having no unhealthy food to process would make your body to burn fat and this causes weight-loss and cleanses your body.
I have been having this problem as well. I like the feeling of lightness because I don't have as much food in my system but for work it has been a challenge not having the same energy I used to have. I know I could just drink coffee but it keeps me up at night, so I think the obstacle is more due to my apprehension towards caffeine and not the fasting so I recommend anyone who finds it difficult to just drink coffee without sugar.Yes, it is not advisable to skip meals if you have classes to attend to as you will not be able to focus and your brain will not function well. In my case during college, we were doing it even during school days since we're used to it. But not everyday of course. We do it during special occasions.
Fasting is a fountain of youth everyone should try as the cellular repairs and brain cell production that happens could extend ones life by nearly 30%, if one extrapolates these very results by Dr Longo with lab mice.I had tried skipping meals when I was in college. It wasn't just a skip meal, it was like a school tradition. I will not explain any further about this "tradition". Anyway, they said that doing it cleanses our body and gives other health benefits. It's not exactly OMAD because we only skip one meal everyday. But yes, I guess they're right because we have this OMAD and thanks for introducing this to us.
You're right, that's a very good point. I have to admit even when I was already on OMAD I used to think they were pretty much the same but now that I'm a bit more experienced and knowledgeable about what I'm really doing here I now understand more what makes OMAD possible. I used to think that I'd feel much hungrier at night considering I'm just eating once a day but now I discovered the effect is opposite because since I've been eating less, I'm actually craving a lot less as well, which is what I think scares most people from trying this diet because the more common thought is that when you eat less you will feel more hunger.Let's not get things confused between OMAD and skipping meals because they are practically different.
With OMAD, you have a feeding pattern which you stick to on daily basis but with just skipping meals, you can choose when to and when not to. So, I would say that skipping meals would have a negative impact on one's health.
