new update

I started OMAD around the middle of May. I have to admit there were many days I went off plan. Family BBQ's, vacations, and birthdays. But through all these moments I knew OMAD was the answer and that is when I feel best. I went through a few weeks of thinking I needed two meals a day. I found that left me feeling way too full. My sugar readings were high in the mornings so I thought two meals would help stabilize this. ??? Not sure why I thought this. It was almost like I went through a time of trying to convince myself there was a better way? Anyway....I am back on plan and since the middle of May I have lost 12 pounds. No it's not great but I am thrilled with this. I have about 40 pounds to lose so to me this a great start. My sugar readings are still high in fasted state in the mornings. Around 130. I am keeping an eye on it. I know there will be days I eat more than once. It's called LIFE. But the majority of days will be OMAD for me. Will keep updating my progress.

It sounds like you have been doing really great with OMAD, and making it through family celebrations has always got to be a challenge . Most of the information that I have read says to just make your own call whether to fast or just enjoy the celebration. I know that (in my life before OMAD) whenever I went to something special, and had to either pick at the lettuce leaves, or starve completely, I always resented that afterwards, even though I did it by choice.
I think that is one of the things that I really like about this program, it is not just a diet, it is a lifestyle, and it just fits along with whatever happens in our lives.
Normal-sized people think nothing of going to a party and eating whatever they want, but it is something that I have felt ashamed to do for as long as I can remember. Fat people are supposed to nibble lettuce leaves......period.

Thankfully...... no more ! With OMAD, we can work our plan and still enjoy the happy celebration days with everyone else, should we decide to do that.
