Do's and Dont's of Eating one Meal a Day

If you have a very very busy schedule. OMAD is not for diet for you. You easily get thin even without taking this diet.

Even though I do have a busy schedule but you know there is a saying that stress makes one fat. This is just the case with me. Even with all the busy schedules on daily basis and low intake of food, stress still adds to my predicament.

Getting always busy, this kept me away from temptations. Eating healthy, fruits vegetables, avoid fats and oil in foods and make a lot of sports. I do not eat junk food, fried potatoes and I avoid fats as much as I can.

I don't really restrict myself. I eat but just a little bit just to satisfy my crave and then drink a lot of water afterwards. I'm just afraid that if I strict myself to food, the more I get tempted so I only eat little to satisfy my crave but exercise a lot and drink water a lot.

How to avoid food temptation?
Whenever you feel hungry, try drinking water instead. Try incorporating food that keep you satiated for longer in your one meal, and eat midway between waking up and sleeping. Best is just hiding away all food in your home and just buying enough to last you for one meal a day for the week.

Can I drink fresh coconut water, the one straight from the tree? It's my experience in the past that if I drink lots of it, I wont get hungry.

That's exactly what im trying to point out. If you are stressed and you eat one meal a day. You are killing yourself. Take multivitamins to keep up with the nutrients your body needs. Don't forget to drink plenty of water.

Avoid foods that are not healthy. Eat foods with full nutrients that are body needs like fruits and vegetables. Exercise everyday and take vitamins as your maintenance to your healthy body.

Don't overwork, this is because your body was used to Eating 6 times a day maybe then all over sudden your eating one meal ,let your body first adopt then you can work as much as little as you want that.
Do drink a lot of water it will keep you dehydrated and feeling full.

I eat once a day, but I actually split my meal into two. I have a snack of fried egg, two tablespoons of beans and some vegetables at around 6.00 pm, then at around 8.00 pm I have my dinner. I find this helps to keep me full, sometimes I can't even finish my dinner. The advantage of OMAD is that after you have been on it for a while you stop thinking about food. You also stop being hungry all the time, and even if you take a break( which I think you need to otherwise your metabolism slows down)you tend to eat less and have less cravings.
This is one area that Omad has really helped me on in the sense that I now eat less and feel less worried about it all especially when I am looking at the things that I do before when I was a heavy eater. One thing is that I now eat less and don't have the urge to eat unnecessarily as well which is awesome for me.

Haha, seriously my dear it's not been easy at all. But what can one do when you have lots of responsibilities facing you and all of them needs to be taken care of one by one. I just try as much as possible to get some gym hours under my belt on weekends but it's not helping out that much.

I don't even have the time to eat often or unnecessarily even if I wanted to, so with omad tips, I have found a way to make the most out of my life situation and working schedule and what I eat and how to eat them in order to get the best result and effect for my body.

I thought at first that it might be too costly, but then discovered many long term omad'ers drink broth through out the day... plus this is a lifestyle for me, that is my goal, so I'd rather slower weight loss with more electrolytes, rather than quicker - more hungry- and more water loss-weight loss since it will be harder to sustain. Slow and steady wins the race...for me in my case. Each person has to run their own race. I know the broth is a crutch but it makes sense to me and really takes the edge off hunger...

Thanks for the information. This will help me to lose weight more. Resisting temptation is really hard for me so I am finding ways how will I control myself not to tempt with food. That is really my problem since then so this info might help me. Thank you.

That's a good testimony, one that I am hopeful that it is going to contribute in ensuring you have a healthy lifestyle at the end.

Of course yes, living a healthy life with healthy lifestyle is what matter most because when you complicate your life with consuming the things that are going to be harmful to your health, only you would have to suffer for such irresponsible actions.

Thank you for the comments here. Starting to feel great and confident that I can start my one meal a day diet.
Hoping for more tips and motivation from you guys.
It's too difficult to start OMAD dieting. But I will try and I will keep myself motivated to do so.

It is all what you want, if you are not prepared to put your feet to the fire then for sure OMAD isn't for everyone. I am on day 4 of OMAD, and this couldn't be easier.. When I started I was on day 11 of a 21 day sugar detox and was in ketosis. So my hunger and appetite were way down, and I was already going at least 16-18 hours without eating I just pushed myself a littler more-had a small cup of bone broth, and boom.. there I am my first 24 hr fast...I ate and was so crazy full. And I realized that I love the feeling and energy I had in a fasted state. Sliding into OMAD, has been relatively easy and not hard to have the discipline. best of luck, what is the worst that will happen??? feel great, sleep like a rock and lose unhealthy weight and stave off potential health crisis! OMAD on!

To achieve OMAD, you should drink plenty of water and keep yourself busy. Keeping yourself busy helps your mind not to focus on hunger but on other things. Trick your own mind and start motivating yourself
That's right. You should make your self busy all the time, don't give any chance your mind to think about food and drink a lot of water, if you feel hungry, just drink water, it helps a lot.

It's very hard for me to eat just one meal in day, being a heavy eater that I'm, it's too difficult for me to be able to mange that.

I would have said let me compliment one meal with snacks but junk food isn't good for one looking lose weight.

What can I do about this predicament of mine?

You might try eating in an 8-hour window 3 times for a week, then 2 meals per day in a 6-hour window, then 1 meal and one healthy snack in a 4-hour window, etc. Whittle it down slowly. You might find that you reach a point where you are fulfilling your health goals with 2-3 meals a day and then you can stay there. I find I really need to stay at OMAD and then add a healthy smoothie on some days as long as I stay within a 4-hour window of eating. Just start somewhere and whittle it down to the least amount of meals you need to sustain your health goals.
