Anyone do Green smoothies on omad?

I like smoothies so much. I preferred using my stocks in the fridge than buying the ready mix. I usually do fruit smoothies. It boost my appetite.

Here's a good one I found

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, plus more for garnish (optional)
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon superfood greens (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon hemp powder (optional)
  • 1 cup ice
Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
  2. Top with extra cinnamon, if desired.
I'll definitely gonna try this one, it's very nutritious yet delicious. So i think it's really good even when your not on OMAD. I got curious with almond milk because i want to know if it can be an alternative milk during OMAD?

My husband has just discovered the joys of making his own smoothies. My daughter bought him a single serving size blender. That's terrific because he makes only enough for himself and there is no waste. His recipe usually includes spinach and almond milk. As for me, I let my kids use the large blender and I drink the smoothies they make. If they add spinach that's fine. If not, that's fine too. I'm just happy to have a healthy smoothie drink.

I make my own fresh almond milk, and use it when I make a green smoothie.
It is very low carb and about a third as many calories as a glass of regular milk would have, and it can be used the same as milk would be in coffee or tea. Almond milk adds so few calories and carbs that it is okay to use it during the fasting window, as long as you are not drinking a lot of cups of coffee or tea.
For a green smoothie, obviously, we can’t drink that when we are fasting; but it is a great addition to the once a day meal, or even as the meal if you are doing one of the low-calorie days.
Today, I went to lunch with my friend, and so I had salad and pizza, definitely not a keto meal. However, since this is an occasional thing, and we can have whatever we want for the one meal, it is still allowable as part of an OMAD diet.
Anyway, to compensate for the extra calories in today’s meal, tomorrow I am just going to have a very light meal, and I am thinking that a green smoothie might be just perfect, since it adds so many healthy vitamins and minerals, but is still low in carbs and calories, as long as I am not adding sweet fruits to the smoothie.

I don't drink it that often and I've heard it's still better to actually eat your vegetables rather than to drink a blended form of it, but if you have no choice or if it's your preferred way to have it then I guess it is much better than not ingesting any vegetables at all. I usually just have whatever greens I have in the fridge and mix it with mostly fruit smoothie since that makes the taste more bearable. Some days I will mix in some carrots or some supplement powders or add some almond or soy milk but most of the drink usually is made up of fruits.
