Not So Fuller!

This is day 6 or 7, I cant remember which day I started last week... this is the start of week 2!
I started at 335 and am fluctuating now between 318 and 322. Very excited!
Hoping to find something other than water and herbal tea to see me through to dinner... but VERY excited about the progress!!! I even fried bacon Saturday for the kiddos without sneaking a piece ;) I'd say THAT was real progress!!

I have been doing the OMAD for a little over a month now. I am down 15 pounds. I have 55 more pounds to go. I am very excited with this way of life. When I started, I just focused on the one meal.....I no longer focus on food. I focus on life now. The one meal is planned, so there is no anxiety of what I am going to eat. I focus on clean eating, but will allow that piece of cake, if I am still hungry. Half the time, when you think you are hungry, you are really only thirsty. I put lemon in my water or a piece of fruit in there. I don't know if that breaks the fast, but it works for me. I am 57 years old and have not been successful with any "diet" out there. It is because of dieting that I an fat now!! When you do sit down to you meal, enjoy every single bite. This is my way of life now. I won't do anything else! My energy is incredible and I have no more pain in my knees! I walk a lot! and I go the gym 4 or 5 days a week. I have to keep up with my 4 granddaughters. I am designing my daughter's wedding dress plus I work 5 days a week. Not too bad for this old lady! Keep focused and you will get there! P.s I love bacon!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

Wow! Keep up the good work. Yeah It also works for me as well. You are right, don't think that you are hungry. Just think that you are thirsty. I don't do OMAD but I will just split my one meal into 2 or half so I eat my one meal for 2 times a day. Just continue what you are doing as long as it satisfies your everyday life.

Oh, I can relate. Sometimes when you're cooking you just want to eat more. But it can also be good practice. You can monitor how you react to food. That way, you'll get used to smelling delicious stuff until you can control your cravings for them. :D

Self and desire control is what matters most when you are doing OMAD because you are definitely going to come into all sorts of food but being able to say no and restrain yourself from eating when you are not supposed to eat is what would help you achieve your OMAD goals.

It's really nice that you are taking it a step at a time which is the best thing that I can say that must have happened on this. The good thing about monitoring your progress is that you are definitely going to feel motivated when you notice that everything is going as planned.

@ k fuller congratulations. That's amazing. OMAD is all about your mind, that's where it starts. Its quite hard to do at first , but once you get into it, its an amazing way to eat. It gets easier with time. If you are determined to not eat you won't. Also once you see the progress/results it becomes easier to stick to one meal a day. I eat at the end of the day but make lunch for anyone at home and sometimes it tempts me when I'm super hungry however it all depends on my frame of mind that day. I love the discipline that OMAD gives you.

That's a good result! It's good that you see the progress. The results we see from our hardships can be an inspiration for us to continue what we have started. You don't have to think that even if you lose 1/4 of your body, you will just stop right away or reason not to continue but instead think about "this is not enough' the more you think that way, the more you are likely motivated to continue what you have already achieve. Pursue something that is much better than what you have got and what you achieve now. Strive to work more and live healthier than you think.

Exactly, you are definitely correct with that assertion on having to win any battle in the mind when it comes to doing anything and even being in OMAD. It takes a lot control to resist eating when you are even preparing your kids meals. A lot of people would say let me just taste it a little and before you know it, they have eaten a full plate. It's never easy being on a diet but once you are determined to achieve your goals, you will resist virtually anything called food that may be a problem for you.

I have also found myself having way more self control ever since I started to just eat once a day instead of three. I'm not sure exactly why that is but I am guessing it may be due to the fact that I don't have as much sugar in my body anymore giving me cravings or perhaps just eating once a day has made me a lot more observant over my eating habits. I now don't eat anything at all unless it's within my meal time and I agree that it does feel great. Keep up the good work and I hope to hear more about your progress in the future.

The first week when I started I was 66 kgs. I worked hard exercisisng but unfortunately I did not go below 65 even after the first month was done. However doing Omad for thr last two and a half months has really helped me to average my weight at 63kgs which is all that I can ask for with a perfect BMI.
